أخرى: Tunis, Capturé vers 1586, par les corsaires tunisiens; il avait alors 10 à 12 ans. Devenu lui-même corsaire, puis raïs (capitaine), puis armateur et homme de confiance et conseiller des Dey Othman (1593-1610) et Youssef (1610-1637), en particulier pour ce qui est des affaires commerciales et financières.
أخرى: Ghar El Melh, Connu pour ses actions héroïques et pour sa droiture, fortifia les forts de la régence contre les incursions corsaires et fit appel, en 1638, à l’architecte Moussa pour construire l’un des forts de Porto Farina (Ghâr al-Malh). La rue principale qui traverse ce village côtier porte encore son nom, en témoignage de reconnaissance.
